6 Steps to Use Your Airsled

Step 1: Lay your Airsled air beams on the floor in front of the range.

Step 2: When inflated, the Airsled air beams will raise about 1/2 inch. If there is more than 1/2 inch of space between the appliance and the air beam, you’ll need to install the spacer kit.

Step 3: Slide the air beam and spacers under the range. If there is still too much space, use your carpet slides and a piece of ply wood for a slight boost. Carpet slides should also be used if you will be moving the appliance across carpet.

Step 4: Plug in the blower to an electric outlet. Be sure to move any breakable items clear from the cord–you don’t want to break your customer’s favorite vase! Then install the hoses between the air beams and the Airsled blower.

Step 4-b: Ensure the hoses are installed correctly between the left and right skids.

Step 5: Once all hoses are connected, lean down to the right air beam to turn on the power. You’ll want to place pressure with your foot on the skid to ensure the air is evenly distributed on across the skid.

Step 6: With both beams inflated, use your fingers to guide the appliance forward. Be especially careful not to run into any cabinets or furniture.

Now you’re ready to complete your repair. When the repair is done, slide the appliance back in place using the same technique as you did when you pulled it out. Once you remove the Airsled, give the appliance a nudge to ensure it’s properly seated in place.

Don’t forget to test all burners to ensure everything is working before you leave!! You don’t want a second trip 🙂
