Attention: Recall Notice for Blomberg and Summit Electric Range
This important appliance recall notice is regarding Blomberg and Summit electric ranges. The recall affects about 6,300 freestanding ranges that were sold from October 2012 through March 2017, by AJ Madison, State Street Discount and other stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com.
Hazard: “The electric ranges can become energized, posing electric shock and electrocution hazards to a consumer who touches the range.”
This hazard was caused due to a fault in manufacturing, as a screw was not installed to secure the grounding strap, posing a serious electric shock hazard. Consumers should immediately stop using and avoid touching the affected ranges until the range’s power source has been turned off (likely at the fuse box).
